Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging

The Division of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging is a group of dedicated physicians who specialize in all aspects of nuclear imaging and therapies.  The division provides a full range of diagnostic examinations for UK HealthCare and its satellite centers, including inpatient and outpatient nuclear medicine and PET/CT.  Typical examinations range from thyroid cancer evaluation and treatment to bone scans for osteomyelitis and metastases. Cutting edge services include Yttrium-90 SIR Sphere embolization for neuroendocrine tumors and DaTscans for Parkinson’s disease.

The nuclear medicine physicians at the University of Kentucky are recognized experts in nuclear medicine. The division has active consultation service and close working relationships with the clinical services of UK HealthCare. The division takes part in numerous multidisciplinary conferences and provides dedicated teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows.
