Emergency Radiology Fellowship

The University of Kentucky Department of Radiology is proud to offer an Emergency Radiology Fellowship.  This non-ACGME accredited fellowship is a 12 month program with one fellowship spot per year.   The University of Kentucky is the only Level I trauma center in Central and Eastern Kentucky and sees approximately 75,000 patient visits per year.  We are located in a state of the art facility that opened up in July of 2010 with both a dedicated adult and dedicated pediatric emergency room.

This 12 month program will consist of 10 months of becoming proficient in all aspects of Emergency Radiology imaging.  The additional 2 months will be elective radiology rotations with many options available, but the recommendation is for time to be spent on MRI heavy services.  The goal of this fellowship will be to train the fellow to be comfortable with all aspects of Emergency Radiology imaging and be ready to enter this exciting field in either an academic or private practice setting.

For additional information please contact the Fellowship Program Director, Dr. David Nickels, at djnick1@email.uky.edu, or the Medical Education Specialist, Misty Lilley, at misty.lilley@uky.edu.
